In 2004 our family, Pete, Kellie, Ellie (6) and Carter (4) sailed our CSY44 across the pacific ocean from the Bellingham, Washington (USA) to Auckland, New Zealand.
20-ish years later we’re itching for adventure again. This is our continuing story.
There was a break in the rain so we quickly de-winterized the boat and headed to Sucia island for the weekend. The new heater kept it comfortable inside with nighttime temps around 38F. We were here at the end of October and again in the beginning of March, not bad for 48 degrees north. Both times there was only one other boat in Echo bay when we arrived. Quite a contrast to summertime crowds!
